miler97487 I already own a thrashed but playable vinyl copy of their debut (super rare) and it's a great piece of late '70s American prog! Now comes Day 2, some 40 years later, and wow! I can't believe what I'm hearing. I usually hold reunions with suspicion because so many sound like their best days are behind them, after all who remembers the reunion album Jefferson Airplane did in 1989? I can say with Earthrise they create another wonderful masterpiece of prog, lots of great keyboard, with an even more rock feel than their debut. This is the way reunion albums should be done.

Inside My Dream I’ve seen you cry, I’ve felt your sorrow I’ve seen despair, I brought tomorrow You've taking pain, and never given But who's to say, that this is living There’s time enough, to watch the sun that’s rising There's so much sky, that you could fill your eyes with My hands are free, just let them lead you to me There can be peace inside my dream The day has come, the night's behind you So share your pride, you’ve every right to There's time enough to watch the sun that's rising There's so much sky, that you could fill your eyes with My hands are free, just let them lead you to me There can be peace inside my dream My hands are free, just let them lead you to me There can be peace inside my dream

The Challenge All rise! Lift your eyes! I speak to all of my Lordship's call! To come now, challenge his might Raise your shield, accept the fight Knights, Kings, to all I sing Let not your pride fall to the side Of challenge, courage will win If your heart has strength within No man takes a stand Will no one rise, sword by his side I accept your call Draw near you that fear For you have seen your Knight's defeat So come now speak of him well He has fallen to the Prince of Hell Praise him you that live Your world is done my Lord has won He is Lucifer

about

It's finally here, the long awaited, second Earthrise album, "Day 2". It is 6 tracks, mainly progressive rock, two with vocals. The music was composed by Bill Drobile and arranged by Earthrise. Their first album "Earthrise" was very rare and sought after globally. The big question by the fans has always been, "when is the next album?". That would be now!
CD's will be available soon, here on Bandcamp.

I'd like to thank Paul Girard, Earthrise's original bass player, for being on hand to cover the bass for live performances, and Kenn Pierog for his assistance in the post production of this album. - Bobbi Drobile
